An Associate in Shumaker’s Real Estate and Development Service Line, Matt works diligently to meet clients’ goals through creative problem solving. He is known for his leadership ability, which is reflected in his aim to guide clients efficiently and effectively through the real estate acquisition and management process.
Matt graduated from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law with cum laude honors. While in law school, he served in various leadership positions, such as Managing Editor on the Ohio State Law Journal and as Vice President of Community Relations of the Moritz Health Law Society. Matt is a former Shumaker Summer Associate, but he also gained practical experience through completing an externship with Justice Patrick F. Fischer at the Supreme Court of Ohio and an internship with the Franklin County Prosecutor’s Office. His passion for the law began in his undergraduate career at the University of Akron, where he studied International Law abroad in Japan.
Outside of work, Matt can typically be found spending time with his wife and their dog, Ozzy. Matt also enjoys playing golf and following Ohio State Buckeyes Football.
