A member of the Litigation & Disputes Service Line in Shumaker's Sarasota office, Hanna focuses her practice on broker-dealer litigation and arbitration. She represents large financial and stock brokers in the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) arbitration in state and federal courts, as well as high-net worth individuals in securities litigation and violations of contractual covenants. Hanna's previous litigation experience includes work in family law, insurance defense, and international studies.
She also counsels clients in matters relating to:
- Employment law
- Restrictive covenants
- Trade secrets
- Commercial litigation
After volunteering with the Teen Court of Sarasota in middle and high school, Hanna became fascinated by the law and turned that fascination into a career. She now sits as a judge in that same program. Hanna is also a member of the Sarasota Bar Association, the Sunshine from Darkness Committee, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.
Outside of work, Hanna enjoys visiting family in Europe (specifically Stockholm), snow skiing, boating around Sarasota Bay, and spending time with her family and two French Bulldogs, Shea and Lola.
