Courtney is a member of the firm’s Litigation and Disputes Service Line, where she handles a wide variety of matters for clients in every stage of the litigation process. Clients benefit from Courtney’s attention to detail, which she developed prior to law school as a paralegal at a large law firm in Washington, D.C.
A graduate of the University of North Carolina (UNC) School of Law, Courtney served as a student practitioner for UNC’s Military and Veterans Law Clinic, which gave her the opportunity to represent clients before federal agencies. In addition, Courtney interned for both federal and state judges in North Carolina and was a summer associate in Shumaker’s Charlotte office. Her diverse legal experience before and during law school lends Courtney a unique perspective that informs her current practice.
Courtney is a member of the Charlotte Young Professionals Group, which provides networking and development opportunities for professionals throughout the Charlotte Metro area. Outside of work, Courtney enjoys cheering on the Florida State Seminoles, playing pickleball, and walking her dog, Bowden.
