A patent attorney licensed in the State of Florida, Samantha is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). She is a member of the Intellectual Property (IP) and Technology Service Line, where she focuses on transactional and litigation IP work, including trademarks, patents, and copyrights. Clients benefit from her creative thinking and problem-solving skills when addressing the issues at hand.

Prior to joining Shumaker, Samantha worked at a Sarasota law firm, where she primarily handled mergers and acquisitions and corporate matters. She also assisted in drafting federal trademark applications.

During law school, Samantha served as a law clerk, and interned at the United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida in the Civil Litigation Department.

A native of Florida, Samantha was raised in Naples. Now, a Tampa Bay resident, she enjoys spending her free time exploring local restaurants, exercising, practicing yoga, and reading.
