Sam has a passion for taking a deep dive into many different technologies, learning about clients’ innovations and helping them protect their inventions. Thorough and thoughtful in her work, Sam assists clients in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). She assists clients from various technologies, including materials, medical devices, and software. In doing so, she strives to develop close client relationships, treating each client as if they are her only client.

Sam has practical experience in drug discovery, pharmacology, organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, materials science, biomaterials, and biomedical engineering. She holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Emory University, where she was an intern at Emory’s Office of Technology transfer. In addition, Sam was a Technology Transfer Trainee at Washington University’s Office of Technology Management.

 When Sam is away from work, she enjoys painting and making pottery, reading, baking, and staying active.
