SARASOTA, FL – The law firm of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP, is pleased to announce that James E. Fanto has joined the Sarasota office as an associate attorney in the Broker-Dealer Litigation Practice Group. He is a member of a team of attorneys who represent large financial institutions and high net-worth individuals in securities litigation and violations of contractual covenants. His practice also focuses on employment law, restrictive covenants, trade secrets, commercial litigation, and arbitration before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).

James received his J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and his B.A. in economics from Johns Hopkins University. At the University of Florida Levin College of Law, he was the Education Chair of the Trial Team and Vice President of the Association for Law and Business. James was a member of Shumaker’s Summer Associate class in 2016.
