Steve Berman Elected to American Bankruptcy Institute Board of Directors

TAMPA, FLORIDA – The law firm of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP is pleased to announce that Tampa partner, Steven M. Berman, has been elected to the American Bankruptcy Institute Board of Directors for a three year term, effective April 19, 2018.

The American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI) is the nation’s largest association of bankruptcy professionals, made up of more than 12,000 members in multi-disciplinary roles, including attorneys, auctioneers, bankers, judges, lenders, professors, turnaround specialists, accountants and others. Steve practices as a business bankruptcy litigator representing creditors, distressed debt lenders, trustees, committees and business entities litigating disputes in bankruptcy court.

Practicing now for more than 28 years, Steve is Board Certified by the American Board of Certification in both Creditors' Rights Law and Business Bankruptcy Law and is a member of the Florida, California, District of Columbia and Puerto Rico Bars. He received his J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and his B.S. from Florida State University.
