COLUMBUS, OH – Wendy M. Byrne, with more than 20 years in marketing and business development, as well as extensive public relations and communications experience, has been elevated to the role of Director of Communications and Client Development for Shumaker, a newly created position in the firm. 

Wendy will be responsible for the overall execution of Shumaker’s external communication channels, including client alerts, social media messaging, and press releases. She will also direct the strategy and responsiveness of the firm’s request for proposals and pitches in order to continue to develop and grow our client base.

Wendy most recently served as Marketing Manager in the Columbus office. She is a graduate of The Ohio State University and is involved in many professional and community organizations, including a candidate for the 2021 Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Man & Woman of the Year Fundraising Campaign. She is a member of the Women for Economic Leadership Development (WELD) and is WELD Certified in Government Boards and Commissions Governance.
