Dawn is a senior paralegal in the Real Estate, Construction & Development Service Line, where she participates in a wide range of duties and proceedings on complex real estate and tax matters. She regularly facilitates due diligence and closings for multi-million dollar transactions; assists with mergers and acquisitions, financial workouts, and restructuring; and assists in commercial and residential real estate development.
Dawn's practice includes:
- Managing proceedings challenging the real estate tax valuation of property and tax exemption appeals
- Preparing and participating in hearings before planning and zoning omissions and legislative bodies
- Preparing and filing applications for parcel splits
- Preparing a variety of documents related to real estate transactions, commercial loan financing, and construction loan financing
- Consulting with title companies and survey firms
- Reviewing title commitments, title endorsements, surveys, and zoning reports
Additionally, Dawn obtains tax identification numbers for corporate clients, coordinates with other law firms in connection with the sale of real estate and related matters, tracks pertinent dates in connection with transactions, and assists with the training of new associates.
