James F. White, Jr.

Counsel

Jim's many years of practice, paired with his experience serving on numerous privately held and public boards, gives him a broad business background. He acts as the "general counsel" for many privately held companies with revenues ranging from $5 million to over $1 billion.

He has extensive experience representing public and private companies in all areas of corporate practice, including matters relating to:

  • Compliance with securities laws, corporate governance, and compensation
  • Mergers, acquisitions, and dispositions
  • Corporate governance
  • Private and public securities financing
  • Venture capital placements
  • Tax
  • Family succession planning and estate planning
  • Real estate development

Jim has served on multiple regional private and public boards, from the Toledo Symphony Orchestra to the Port Authority of Toledo and ProMedica. He is widely credited as the driving force behind the $35 million campaign to restore the historic Valentine Theater in downtown Toledo, and he's been a part owner of three Toledo hockey teams: the Hornets, Goaldiggers, and the Storm.
