Evelyn is a creative thinker who proactively identifies and implements new solutions. She applies her extensive litigation and claims management experience to her work with Shumaker’s Claims Management Team that develops, implements, and administers SOC1 certified claims management services systems. These systems apply processes to clients’ workflow to efficiently manage claims activity, organize information, and generate financial and claims trend reporting.
Having served on both law firm and corporate legal teams, and as a risk manager for a S&P 500 company, Evelyn understands clients’ challenges and brings that perspective to her work.
Evelyn assists with preparing tailored claim reports and claim trend reports, database administration, review of resolution documentation, allocating costs and coordinating funding of indemnity and invoice payments, and managing the SOC1 audit process.
Alongside her role on the claims management team, Evelyn uses her deep understanding of risk management and insurance to assist attorneys with insurance coverage matters.
Evelyn enjoys ecotourism, especially exploring natural areas by hiking and kayaking. At home, she enjoys cooking with family and friends, reading, and boating on Lake Erie.
