A member of Shumaker’s Labor and Employment Service Line, Liz is known for being a reliable and responsive client advocate. She represents employers in matters involving workplace harassment, discrimination, retaliation, whistleblower, leave of absence, wage and hour, and related employment claims.
Liz brings to the firm extensive experience and a wide breadth of knowledge regarding management-side employment matters. Prior to joining Shumaker, she represented employers and insurance carriers in workers’ compensation claims at another Tampa-area law firm. Liz later transitioned to a role as assistant general counsel at a professional employer organization, where she guided hundreds of businesses of all sizes through complex labor and employment matters. She is a graduate of the Stetson University College of Law and holds a B.A. in political science, with a minor in psychology, from the University of Central Florida.
In her free time, Liz loves being outdoors, watching live music in Downtown St. Pete, and spending time with her husband and two sons.
