Raven K. Peters

Associate

Raven is a member of Shumaker’s Litigation and Disputes Service Line. She represents clients in all phases of litigation with a particular focus on commercial and civil litigation. Raven prides herself on being a driven and creative litigator, who is always determined to effectuate the best results for her clients.

During law school, Raven interned for the Initiative for Strategic Litigation in Africa, where she pursued women’s human rights throughout Africa. Additionally, she worked in a labor and employment law firm and gained practical skills through her school’s clinic programs, wherein she represented both victims of domestic violence and Veterans seeking disability compensation. She was on the executive board of the National Trial Team and a member of the Bill of Right’s Journal. During her final summer of law school, Raven was a summer associate at Shumaker.

Prior to law school, Raven worked at a law office specializing in residential and commercial real estate closings. She also interned at the Department of State in Washington, D.C., where she drafted proposals focused on disability programming.

Raven was born and raised in Sarasota, and she is grateful for the opportunity to return to the Sunshine State. In her spare time, Raven enjoys to read, spend time outdoors, and lead an active lifestyle. In addition, Raven loves to explore local restaurants and is always looking for a good recommendation!
